Why Golf Is Not An Old Man’s Sport

Posted in: Equipment

The big problem with golf is that a lot of people see ot as something that the boss does over the weekend and a game that the older generations love to play.

These people are both right and wrong if you think about it?

Right

The major problem is that golf is seen as an old man’s game simply because of some of the clothes that you see people turn up in. These tend to be very rubbhish indeed and make the person wearing the clothes look around 20 years older than they are. The reason for this is because the clothes usually match top to bottom and make the wearer look like someone in their mid 80s that has just turned up for tea.

Batteries

Many golfers now have battery powered golf trolleys and they have made use of recent developments in leisure batteries and golf trolley batteries. The major problem with this is that the younger golfers that use these are generally hated by the ones that do not. Source (Dad).

Wrong

The majority of the younger golfers do not wear tacky clothes or have their trolleys run around for them which is why it is not just a sport for the older generations. However there are many issues with the way the pro’s actually play the game.

One of the other big reasons is that people see it as a very lazy sport because many people tend to love to drive the buggies around the course. This is really not a very good thing for the sport as it is promoting golfer to be a bit on the lazy side.

If you are older then you have an excuse to be driving around in that buggy but if you are just lazy get off your ass and walk the course for goodness sake. In fact you should be playing more of the game. The one thing you should do is look in the mirror before you go out to check if the clothes that you are wearing look a bit on the Granddad side.

So get out those or of course marine batteries if that’s what you do and get playing!
