Golf Swing Path Tutorial

Here are the motions of a full golf swing path from beginning to actual ball impact

Phase 1: You can use these guidelines in your golf swing drills Align yourself perfectly with the flag. Also make sure that there are no rocks, leaves sticks or anything that can potentially get in the way. Place body parallel to the line so you can positions yourself to start the perfect golf swing. If you happen to not follow these guidelines you can really harm you shot.

Phase 2: Hold your hands in the right manner. The golf club should resting right on the back of the ball. Make sure to have the club held in your left hand with your fingers draped over the top. Now some people use the right hand but I learned that this way is the most effective for a strong golf swing path. Hold the golf club in its place so that there is virtually no movement. However be sure to keep a relaxed handle on the club do not keep a super tight grip as this will cause unwanted movement and shaking.

Phase 3: Hold it properly using your left hand. Grip the club with your right hand just above the your left thumb to start off a correct golf swing path.

Phase 4: The proper golf swing grip.. When dealing with golf swing fundamentals this phase is very important as using an uncomfortable grip will spell disaster. Try to find a your style but a grip called the “overlapping grip” is the one that is most commonly favored. In this grip you put your right pinky finger exactly between the index and middle fingers of your left hand. Another style of grip which is my personal favorite is what is called the interlocking grip”. In this particular golf swing grip the pink of your right hand is “interlocked” with the index finger of your left. This is the the style that is used for those who have medium to small sized hands. If you have quite smaller hands than what may be a good fit is the “baseball bat” style golf swing grip.

Phase 5: Standing Correctly
The main goal here is obviously balance which is key to a golf swing path for again obvious reasons.
Stand shoulder width apart with your whole body parallel to the direction of your swing. Place the right leg about twelve inches in front of you. This stance will enable you to use your weight as leverage to carry out the full golf swing. Next pivot your left foot towards the outside so you can allow your body to naturally guide itself in swing form. Lean your torso just a bit. A huge mistake that I make and I’m still working on this is over leaning(Yes I’m still learning too..). It is very easy to just bend forward but try to resist. Next your legs should be slightly bent and your hands straight in front of you elbows locked but relaxed. Place about a good amount of your weight on the balls of your feet.

Phase 6: Starting the actual swing. The whole thing that you want to think about here is full body rotation. No need to place emphasis on the arms as they will go along for the ride so what you should be mindful of is using you upper body as a whole and turning. Keep your body loose and do not tighten up so this can be a fluid movement.
Now you want to use this rotation to begin the back golf swing techniques. At this point all parts of your body move coordinated and in unison.
Then you push the down swing by shifting your weight to your left foot. During this movement your arms and hands will be carried along to impact the golf ball and do not forget to continue the entire motion sustaining your form until the ball’s descent.
Use this quick golf swing guide and it will enable you to achieve a correct golf swing path.
