Hydration… got to do it!
If you’ve ever spent a really hot, humid day on the golf course… 18 holes of pouring sweat… you’ve undoubtedly experienced the “drag” on the following day. It’s because your body’s moisture content has been drastically reduced. Sure, you probably drank water or a sports drink during the day, but just how much did you drink? And how restorative was that drink? Well, here’s a good routine to get into if you are planning a golf weekend or even just a day of golf.
Two days prior to your outing, get to your local grocery store and purchase a case your favorite sports drink. While there, find the “infants” section and purchase several bottles of unflavored “Pedialite” or it’s generic equivalent. When you get home, make a 50/50 mixture of the two.
Open a bottle of your sports drink and drink half of it. Now open a bottle of the Pedialite and refill your half empty sports drink. Open another sports drink and fill up the half empty Pedialite bottle. Repeat this procedure until you run out of Pedialite. Now you have a super hydration mixture that will help you get fully hydrated before you tee off. Drink two bottles of this mixture each day for two days prior to your round and make sure you have purchased enough to take with you to drink during your round. You will find that you will be much more comfortable during your round and you won’t experience the physical “drag” the following day. I know there are some courses that will not allow you to bring coolers onto the course. If that’s the case, then freeze several bottles of the mixture and put two in your bag (if there’s room) and two in the basket of the cart. It’s a good idea to put each bottle into a gallon freezer bag so your golf bag doesn’t get sloppy from the condensation.
Sure, it’s a little more expensive to do this, but it ultimately helps your body deal with the elements and makes for better play and attitude! I know I’d rather feel 100% comfortable when I need to make a 10 footer to close the door on my playing buddies! It may only be for “who buys the drinks at the turn” but it’s still sweet to watch them pull out their wallets!
Hope you all are blessed!

I have experienced dehydration often when playing golf for a long time. Also carrying golf accessories from one hole location to another is very tiring. As you have rightly said, keeping a sports drink in the golf bag is the best option. The mixture that you have mentioned is also a good alternative.
